I'm almost finished, wait... Nevermind11/29/2020 Hey everyone, as you can probably tell I haven't posted anything over the past few weeks. Well I have the same reason for that as I've had in my past few posts. This project is going very slow for me. Unfortunately I do not have the tools that I need to build the simulator chassis at home. So I asked Mr. James if he would help me build it in the auto tech shop, and he said yes. So I have been working on finishing the design on Autoinventor. Last week I was able to complete the last part of the design and put it on the 3D assembled product. So now I am all done with the design portion of the simulator chassis and I have also already purchased and picked up the metal required to build the chassis. Last week before my War Eagle Motorsports meeting I took all of the metal to the auto tech shop just so that it was there and ready to be used whenever Mr. James and myself have time to work on the chassis. That wasn't the easiest thing to do though because the metal weighs almost one hundred and fifty pounds all together. After doing some math and weighing my current sim racing wheel, pedals, shifter, and my new seat I have determined that the whole racing simulator will weigh over 200 pounds and that doesn't include a monitor. I am super excited to finally get this into my room. It's been a dream of mine to have a nice racing simulator of my own, and now that I am a member of Iracing that dream just got bigger. Over the course of 2020 I have made upgrades to my current simulator and that motivated me to finally design my own chassis and build it. Over these last two weeks of the project I will primarily be working on my presentation and hopefully getting close to finishing the chassis. I apologize for not posting for about two weeks, I honestly didn't have anything to talk about, lol. I hope you all have a happy and safe holiday season.

Still Having Some Struggles11/3/2020 Well, I didn't post a blog last week for few reasons. One of those reasons being that I was driving home from the beach on Wednesday which is usually the day that I work on Genius Hour. Another reason was the software that I am designing the sim chassis on was down for most of the week and I don't know if it's back up yet. That further delayed the project so I am going to have to rush to get the sim chassis built, video made, and more blog posts put out. I am kind of lucky though because I am getting close to finishing the 3D model. Also I have talked to Mr. James (Auto Tech teacher) about him helping me weld and fabricate the sim chassis. He says that he will help me and that I can build it in the Auto Tech shop so I should have good light to shoot a good time lapse video for my end of project video. Here is a clip of one of the time lapse videos that I have shot, this one is showing me making and assembling parts on the 3D model software.
